In 1967, Canada’s centennial year, a small grant, as part of Canada’s 100th Anniversary, was provided to a group of forward thinking individuals in the community of Milford. A generous donation of land by Mr. Rupert Pineo, a local resident and farmer, of 73 acres of land, a new recreation association was formed, The Milford Recreation Association

From that beginning of the donated land and a group of enthusiastic volunteers, The Milford Recreation Association has grown and developed over the years to become what we see today at 2288 Highway #2, Milford, Nova Scotia. B0N 1Y0
